  • A beautiful cottage, refurbished to a high standard and well appointed with everything you need for a week away in beautiful Porthleven. Fabulous restaurants, deli, fishmonger, brewer and general shop only a few minutes’ walk away. Whatever the weather, (it was mixed during our stay) there is plenty to do.

  • This was not our first stay at the cottage and it certainly wont be our last. Porthleven has become our happy place and that includes this cottage. An Diank Meur is minutes from the harbour, meaning a quick walk down for a coffee in the morning or returning from dinner in the evening. Every time we have been it has been immaculate and have everything we needed, including storage for a large food shop! There are plenty of games and a characterful fire for the rainy days. We will be back soon!

  • We had a lovely stay at the cottage this September. The cottage was clean, characterful and everything you could want from a holiday house. Local shops and restaurants only a short walk away, would highly recommend.

  • Me and my family had a wonderful stay at An Diank Meur in Porthleven. Its the perfect holiday in terms of the cottage itself, so homely and a really personal touch. The location was also fantastic, to be a stone throws away from the harbour and the beach. We would love to stay again. 5 stars

Great location, lovely cottage, and super clean!
We had such a wonderful time at the cottage and in Porthleven! Thanks to Maria’s tips in advance, a very comfortable check-in and the easy communication throughout we were able to enjoy our stay from the very beginning on. The cottage is very well equipped (we are a family of five), especially the kitchen provides everything one could hope for and washer and dryer were a great asset as well. The location is perfect (everything from supermarket to harbour and beach is just a short 5 min. walk away) and Porthleven is a very charming town. We were particularly happy about the cleanliness of the cottage. It’s a bit unusual to have kitchen and bathroom all the way downstairs - and the stairs would be too steep for smaller kids. Also, the taller ones of us did hit their heads once or twice - but it didn‘t take long to get used to ducking your head when entering the bathroom :-)We were super happy with the cottage, would definitely recommend it and would love to come back one day!

  • Once again a very enjoyable stay. A light, airy place and cosy at night. All the appliances you could possibly need. A little yard out back for the dog. In a quiet road but only 5mins walk to harbour. Only thing to be aware of is that the house is on 3 levels with the kitchen on the bottom floor.

  • We have just returned from our stay in this beautiful cottage and are already looking to come back.
The cottage itself is beautiful with everything you could need. The decor inside is absolutely lovely. A short walk to the beach and harbour with suited us just fine with 2 little ones.
    100%reccomend!

    Excellent stay
My family and I had an excellent stay in Porthleven. The house was lovely, very clean, and it had everything we needed for a week away from home. The location is excellent and it was just a few minutes walk to the harbour. We couldn’t always get parked on the street that the house is on, but we did manage to park each night in the street behind if needed which wasn’t a big deal. We messaged the hosts a couple of times and I have to say that they were excellent. They replied quickly each time and they were super accommodating. Overall we had an excellent stay, and I would highly recommend this property and hosts. (via VRBO)

  • Spotlessly clean and very comfortable cottage arranged over three levels. Steep staircases with a mix of traditional features and modern conveniences makes staying here a pleasure.

  • Wonderful cosy cottage in a great location in Porthlevan. Stayed here for a week with our one year old and her grand parents and found the cottage a perfect home away from home. Great location, walking distance to the shops and the harbour and a short drive to lots of lovely places. Our favourites were Marazian, Church cove and Praa sands. Would definitely recommend and come back again!

  • We had a fabulous stay at this lovely cottage situated just a few minutes walk from Porthleven Harbour. Would highly recommend and would definitely like to stay in the cottage again. We were able to park easily on the road outside the cottage.
We visited Praa Sands, Poldhu, and Church cove and walked from the Lizard to Kynance Cove. We also spent a day in St Ives. Shops and eateries at the harbour are plentiful.
As per the description, the stairs down to the kitchen are not suitable for elderly/small children or those with mobility issues, this was not an issue for us. Overall it was perfect.

  • Lovely fully equiped cottage within great distance to the harbor - 5 Stars

As a family of five we felt really at home for our one week in this cosy but fully equiped cottage. Porthleven is a nice little harbour village with lots of restaurants and things to see and do in the surroundings. The cottage is very cosy and had everything we needed. We loved it. • Lovely holiday! 5 Stars

We visited An Diank Meur for our first Cornish holiday. We were not disappointed! On our arrival we were greeted with an extremely well presented, clean and comfortable cottage. There was everything, and more that you could possibly need. The coffee machine was a very welcome addition. Porthleven is a great location to explore Cornwall and also to have as a base as we very much enjoyed visiting the harbours pubs and restaurants. We left with some very happy memories.

  • Lovely cottage in beautiful Cornish village, dogs welcome too! 5 stars

This is a terrific cottage, comfortably furnished, with everything you need. It had three bedrooms, a sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and little patio outside. It's a traditional terraced fisherman's cottage with lots of charm but also plenty of mod cons like a washing machine and dryer, good sized television and a wood burner. The only sounds at night are the seagulls squawking! The sofa and beds were very comfortable and games and books were on offer. The kitchen and bathroom are downstairs (one floor below the living room) so if you're very tall watch your head! It was spotlessly clean and dogs were welcome. The location is excellent - just a few minutes walk from the harbour, beaches and centre of Porthleven. So you can stroll out the front door and be tucking into coffee or cream tea minutes later, at one of the thriving cafes and restaurants in the village. These range from lovely cafes with home made wares like the The Twisted Currant to Rick Stein's elegant restaurant. The pubs are great too, perfect for sipping a pint looking over the harbour. The nearby beaches, all walking distance, are not crowded and dogs are welcome on one. The village is also very handy for nearby Helston and great places to visit like the seal sanctuary at Gweek. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Thank you Maria and Robert!

Absolutely lovely little cottage. Close to all the amenities in Porthleven. So much to see and do in the surrounding area. The cottage has all you could wish for and more in a holiday let. Owners and housekeeper extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend, as we will definitely be returning in the future.

  • Beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need. Cosy fire and a few minutes walk from the harbor. Porthleven itself has lots of places to eat from the pasty shop, which is just the best, to the pus, restaurants and takeaways.
It is a lovely harbor town and a great place for walking. Just beautiful, can't wait to go again.
